Manama, July 22 (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain BSC (Alba), the world’s largest single plant smelter, launched its Summer Safety and Health (S&H) campaign “Reflecting Safety for Family Protection” 2024, inaugurated by CEO Ali Al Bakari at the company’s Oasis Hall on July 22, 2024.
The comprehensive S&H campaign prioritizes the health of both Alba employees and contractor employees. Designed to reduce health risks and injuries during the summer months, the campaign will offer a dynamic mix of online and in-person educational sessions from July 22-30.
CEO Ali Al Bakari highlighted Alba’s commitment to fostering a safety culture that extends beyond the workplace to employees’ homes, saying: “At Alba, safety isn’t just a company priority, it’s a family value. Our S&H campaign aims to empower our employees to make smart choices to stay healthy, not only for themselves, but also for their loved ones waiting at home.”
“With everyone’s active participation, we are confident that we can have our eighth consecutive summer without heatstroke this year. I urge everyone to make safety a priority not only in the workplace, but throughout the summer.”
The “Safety Considerations to Protect Your Family” campaign will feature a variety of informational presentations, with in-house experts and external speakers covering a range of summer safety topics to ensure employees and contractor workers have the knowledge they need to stay safe. The campaign will also feature interactive visits to work sites led by the company’s chief executive officers to introduce practical summer safety strategies that employees can implement in their daily work.
