The Ministry of Municipality and Agriculture has issued a tender for the organisation of the Bahrain Livestock and Agriculture Expo (Marae 2024). The tender, which was conducted through a tender committee, seeks a contractor to handle the overall design, planning, marketing, construction and production of all aspects required for the exhibition.
The scope of work may include but is not limited to an opening ceremony, live animal demonstrations, agricultural product displays, construction of temporary facilities etc. All aspects must comply with the specific requirements detailed in the tender documents.
Bidders are required to submit a “Declaration of Compliance” as set out in the appendix to the bidding documents and an “Independent Pricing Certificate” as set out in the appendix to the bidding documents. Failure to submit these documents will result in the bid being disqualified. Bidders are also required to submit a single price for each option set out in the bidding documents.
The Marae Show serves as a platform to showcase Bahrain’s unique collection of rare Arabian horses as well as other rare animal breeds owned by Bahraini breeders and farmers, which offers great investment opportunities.
The exhibition also brings together global companies and leading experts in the agriculture and livestock sector who will participate in specialized events at regional and international levels, reflecting the success of the plan to provide a comprehensive food security system, diversify its sources of supply, encourage investment in the sector and contribute to the national economy.
Exhibition purpose
The exhibition aims to showcase the latest advancements in livestock and agricultural technologies, promote sustainable agricultural practices, foster partnerships and collaboration among local and international stakeholders, strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for livestock and agricultural trade, and raise awareness about the importance of food security.
