Manama, July 25 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), has appointed His Highness Sheikh Esa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of BOC, as Commander of the Bahraini delegation at the 33rd Summer Olympic Games to be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
The BOC Vice Governor expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad, noting that the appointment demonstrates the confidence that Sheikh Khalid has in the country’s ability to effectively represent Bahrain on the international stage, and stressed his pride in this confidence.
The Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee highlighted the tremendous support from His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad and pledged to be united in supporting the delegation to achieve the best results and raise the Bahraini flag at this major sporting event. The Vice President expressed full confidence in the Bahrain delegation’s ability to achieve remarkable success at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and stressed the importance of thorough preparation and hard work to achieve the set goals.
He wished the Bahraini delegation every success in the tournament and that their efforts would result in another Olympic achievement for Bahrain.
