In a testament to the strong ties between Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Deputy Chairman of Tamkeen, welcomed His Excellency Abdullah bin Amer Al Swah, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, to the Labor Fund (Tamkeen).
The visit coincided with the Digital Cooperation Agency’s general assembly in Bahrain, and highlighted their shared commitment to fostering digital transformation and economic development in the region.
Al Malki highlighted the deep-rooted ties forged by the leadership of the two countries, and underscored the unwavering support of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in strengthening this cooperation.
Furthermore, he reiterated Tamkeen’s dedication to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Esa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to create programs and initiatives that strengthen the Kingdom’s workforce and drive national economic growth.
The meeting served as a platform to exchange valuable insights and explore avenues of collaboration. Both sides showcased their expertise in technological skills development and ICT entrepreneurship, paving the way for joint initiatives to enhance digital literacy and drive innovation in various sectors.
The discussions also focused on promoting the growth of Bahraini and Saudi Arabian companies operating in each other’s markets and fostering a mutually beneficial economic environment. Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology praised Tamkeen’s efforts to develop a skilled Bahraini talent base, especially in the ICT sector.
He commended the Kingdom’s efforts to collaborate with international organizations to provide specialized training programs, recognizing these efforts as essential to developing a future-proof workforce. He further stressed the importance of the two Kingdoms continuing to work together to ensure a prosperous future for their people.
