Bahrain has a favorable business environment with unrestricted full foreign ownership in free trade zones and no corporate, personal, wealth or capital gains taxes. This liberal environment has helped make Bahrain one of the fastest growing economies in the world, resulting in abundant employment opportunities.

Anyone hoping to live and work in Bahrain must first understand how to obtain a Bahrain work visa and residence permit. Wego has compiled all the information you need to get a Bahrain work visa below.

Bahrain work visa

Bahrain work visa is a permit for foreign workers aged between 21 and 60 who have received a job offer from a Bahraini company. Work visas are submitted to and issued by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority. Employers or Bahraini nationals sponsor workers who wish to obtain a Bahrain work visa.

Additionally, the number of visas a company can sponsor depends on the physical size of its office and the foreign national quotas set by a country’s regulations.

It is worth noting that GCC nationals can enter the Kingdom of Bahrain without a visa.
