London, July 28 (BNA): The Bahraini parliamentary delegation participated in a workshop session organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Centre for Legislative Studies at the University of Hull from July 27-28.
The delegation was led by Shura Council member Lina Habib Kassim and House of Deputies member Hassan Ibrahim Hassan.
The delegation took part in the 16th Parliamentarians and Scholars Workshop held at the UK’s Loxton College and reiterated Bahrain’s determination to strengthen all forms of international cooperation, enhance the role of parliamentary diplomacy and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) in parliamentary work.
The delegation stressed the importance of unifying efforts towards mutual coordination with different parliaments in order to achieve common global goals and to increase the necessary expertise among parliamentarians.
The Head of the Delegation stressed that strengthening international cooperation in legislative work is an important role that contributes to building excellent relations between parliaments based on mutual respect and joint action.
She also commended the efforts of Parliament and academic institutions to hold joint conferences aimed at sharing parliamentary experiences and discussing global issues to inform expert research and studies on legislative matters.
