Paris, July 28 (BNA): Bahrain national swimming team members Saud Ghali and Amani Al Obaidulli expressed their pride and gratitude to carry the Kingdom of Bahrain’s flag at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Ghali thanked the Bahrain Olympic Committee for selecting him to carry the Kingdom’s flag at one of the world’s biggest sporting events, saying it was an unforgettable moment.
He said he feels proud of the trust and that it will motivate him to work harder to take his sports career to the next level. He added that he wishes all the teams success at the Olympics.
Meanwhile, swimmer Amani Al Obaidulli expressed her gratitude to the Bahrain Olympic Committee for selecting her to compete in the Paris Olympics.
She said being selected to carry the flag at the opening ceremony was a great honor for the swim team and a tribute to the entire swim team.
“For me, it was an unforgettable moment and one that I will always honour,” she added.
Al Obaidulli said it is every athlete’s dream to fly the flag of their country, and having this opportunity will be a highlight of her career and a wonderful memory, she said.
