Manama, July 23 (BNA): Speaker of the House of Representatives Sheikh Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam met with Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Hamad World Center for Peaceful Coexistence.
Member of Parliament Hassan Ibrahim Hassan and the Centre’s Secretary General Abdullah Isa Al Mannai attended the meeting.
He commended the role of King Hamad World Centre for Peaceful Coexistence and its efforts in achieving its objectives, which reflect the inclusive humanitarian vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Bahrain’s heritage of a culture of openness, coexistence, tolerance and peace.
The chairman stressed Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s support for promoting national values and strengthening international partnerships through programs and initiatives that foster a culture of coexistence and tolerance.
The Speaker stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between parliamentary diplomacy and Bahrain’s excellent humanitarian diplomacy in order to highlight the nation’s achievements and social culture at international forums. The Speaker highlighted the House’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with King Hamad World Centre for Peaceful Coexistence through a modern and advanced approach, building on the Bahraini institution’s acclaimed and active international presence.
The Council Chairman expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Council of Representatives in showcasing Bahrain’s humanitarian values to the world through active parliamentary diplomacy. He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to promoting and strengthening the values and principles of coexistence, tolerance and peace in collaboration with all partners and institutions both in Bahrain and abroad.
