Manama, Jan. 18 (BNA): Minister of Labour Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan met with Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) Chief Human Resources Officer Hind Mohammed Mahmoud.
The meeting reviewed plans to employ Bahrain’s talented human resources, incentives offered by banks to enhance job security and support for small and medium-sized enterprises to Bahraini entrepreneurs, thereby promoting the country’s economic development.
Humaidan acknowledged the BDB’s role in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship, especially among young people, and encouraging them to enter the labour market.
He noted the important role of SMEs in the national economy and the importance of providing more opportunities for citizens, and pointed to the bank’s policy of strengthening its administrative and banking system with Bahraini talent.
Humaidan stressed that the ministry and the Bahrain Labour Fund (Tamkeen) will continue to offer private sector jobs to trained and qualified Bahrainis.
The HR chief praised the ministry’s role in encouraging Bahrainis to seek employment in several sectors, particularly banking and finance, confirming the bank’s confidence in the capabilities of its citizens.
