WestJet and Whitehorse-based Air North have announced a new agreement that will allow passengers to travel across both airlines’ networks on a single ticket.
A WestJet statement said the new “interline agreement” will allow passengers to book a single ticket on connecting itineraries between WestJet’s network and the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
This means that from July 31st onwards, connecting flights will have a single check-in point and checked baggage will be delivered directly to your final destination.
Jared Michoch-Gerke, WestJet’s director of partnerships and airports, said the agreement will “redefine” air travel to the Yukon and Northwest Territories and create new tourism and business travel opportunities.
